What we are searching for

Enerdata is looking for a climate finance manager to develop new solutions and strengthen existing offers in the field of sustainable finance. The urgent call for climate action is driving more and more financial and corporate institutions to set net-zero GHG emissions targets by 2050 or earlier. Enerdata is in a unique position to support financial and corporate actors in their decarbonization journey, leveraging its fields of expertise on energy and climate:

  • Energy and climate scenario modelling
  • Data science and statistics
  • Market research and business intelligence

Enerdata’s current offer for financial and corporate actors relies on recognized sectoral decarbonization trajectories from in-house models which help our customers setting up their decarbonization objectives. In a context of strong activity growth, it is a perfect opportunity for an experienced sustainable finance professional to develop energy and climate scenario expertise and use creativity to help financial and corporate actors in their decarbonization objectives.

Main missions of the Energy and Climate Finance team:

  • ESG & Climate regulatory compliance and commitments:
    • Lead research, regulatory and market watch on sustainable finance topics (SFDR, CSRD, EU Taxonomy, French Law Energie Climat, ESG MiFID II, NZIA, NZBA, etc.)
    • Support financial actors to comply with EU/national sustainability regulations and Net Zero commitments, notably on net zero alignment methodologies
  • Energy & Climate-related risk management:
    • Help financial actors to identify, quantify and mitigate climate-related risks in financial portfolios with granular sectoral and asset-based data solutions
    • Support risk teams in climate stress-testing exercises
  • Sustainable & green finance offers:
    • Definition and quantification of energy-climate prospective KPIs for specific sectoral topics (renewables, transportation, buildings, etc.)

The person will be part of the Innovation Department and will:

  • Manage energy-climate finance team and recruitment
  • Take part in strategy definition and implementation, including finance related partnerships and potential M&A activities
  • Develop business with financial and corporate actors
  • Lead finance and corporate proposals and projects such as providing sectoral energy & climate benchmarks in net zero alignment methodologies
  • Improve Enerdata’s existing solutions and develop new offers for financial and corporate actors
  • Participate to key publications and communication event

Who you are

  • Driven by energy and climate issues
  • Good knowledge of climate regulation in financial and corporate sectors
  • 5+ years of professional experience of which in financial and/or corporate sectors related to ESG-Climate issues
  • Proven track record in project management
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills
  • Business development oriented, experience in strategy definition and partnership implementation
  • Fluency in English and French language is a must; another European language is a plus
